There was a solution in plain sight all along, and you simply didn't notice it. It's a philosophy which I deeply respect, but I digress. Unlocks are tied to achievements, so you will always have a few objectives to work towards, and completing them will expand your pool of options for the next run. There is some metaprogression, but it's limited to unlocking starting loadouts - you can always randomly find any item or character, even if it's your first time playing. Subset Games' excellence at game design has left the same unmistakable mark on both titles, and even though they're quite different, they can be understood in terms of resource management, combat tactics and an overarching item-based progression that acts as a strategic backdrop against which the run develops. Every bit as good as FTL, but more polished. it works on GOG version, all you have to do is to active the player box, and I found that grid defense initial value starts from 0, which means 150 and 205, grid defense has 4 bytes, looking forwards to adding grid defense. ![]()
